Tamika Cleary takes a wrong turn up a one-way street - and straight into Thibault Delacroix's leg as he steps into the road. But Mika's in a hurry, and she certainly doesn't have time for a guy who can't even look both ways before crossing, even if he does have a cute face, a body to die for, and the darkest, thickest eyelashes she's ever seen.

Unfortunately for Mika, fate has other ideas. When she's threatened by her employer, a Russian mafia boss known as "The Thief", she's forced to accept Thibault's help. As the co-owner of the Bourbon Street Boys security firm, he believes he can keep her safe. But Mika has a whole load of trust issues - and the pushier Thibault is about helping, the more stubbornly she tries to resist.

Mika may have taken a wrong turn the day they met, but will she finally let someone steer her in the right direction?

But the accent of the narrator is very strong and at times it was hard to know who was talking as they all sounded the same bar the Russian characters , I also wondered if I'd been wrong in assuming they were white guys and girls not that that matters in the least 😏 the last book has left me confused 😵

Story line is good

Wrong Turn, Right Direction by Elle Casey was a fun and entertaining listen! I enjoyed the mix of romance, humor, and unexpected twists. The characters were easy to get attached to, and the story kept me listening to see what would happen next. A light, enjoyable listen with plenty of laughs and heart.

Felt this was an ok story, Tamika basically irritated me all the way through this novel and sorry but the narrator put me off too.

Struggled with narrator

I get mistrust when you've lived a dangerous lifestyle but she just made it hard for me to like her. I didn't expect her to just fall at his feet and beg for help but some of their dialogue around her not trusting him made no sense. I about lost it when she asked him "and what are you going to give me?" when he was already giving her the sun, moon, stars and the blinking universe!

Good storyline, decent male lead and the team were great too (as usual) but Tamika quickly became an irritation and maintained her role as irritant almost til the end.

Decent novel but sheesh, the h was annoying!
