The feisty foe that Zara Riddle first met in The Wilds is now a member of the family, but all is not quite right at the Mystery Mansion.

Zara misses the good ol' days of chasing ghosts and getting chewed up by carnivorous plants, sea monsters, natural disasters, and even the ground itself.

When an investigation does come along, Zara jumps at the chance to use her magic, since she's better at that than cooking. The whole coven gets in on the action, and no sooner have they started than they lose Zara.

Of course Zara doesn't think she's lost at all. If anything, she finds herself right where she was always meant to be. That's how destiny works, right?

How is she ever going to reconcile her dream life with her real one? And which is which, anyway?

This is book 17 in the Wisteria Witches Mysteries series. It can be listened to as a stand-alone, or in the order the books were released.

This was a confusing and convoluted read which for me shard read. I picked it up a few times trying to follow the narrative before the ending chapters began to shine.

The other life lived.

I really enjoyed both parts of the book, and can see that Zaras journey is what she needed to do to improve her relationships. id love to see the witches get back their levitation and a reprise of detective Zara. Theres some elements and characters from her journey in book 17 which could make for a fantastic book 18. Heres hoping book 18 lands soon!

What a shame….I loved the entire series and was so looking forward to listening to this book as soon as it was released.
I was lost for quite a lot of this book to the point of re listening to chapters as I thought I’d skipped one or two but no I hadn’t it just seemed to drift off at tangents :(

Where has Wisteria gone? Where are all the usual characters??? Has totally lost the plot in more ways than one. Sorry but this was a big NO for me, I’m not interested in multi verses. Should be a new series as it’s not Wisteria anymore.
