You don't have to be mad to work at the Office of Faery Godmothers. But you do have to be magic.

Saffron Sawyer is a faery on a mission. She may no longer have the same rose-tinted spectacles about her job as she once did, but she's still determined to be the best faery godmother that there is. And when she's given the role as leader of a taskforce designed to hunt down the elusive trolls, she knows it's her time to step up and be counted.

Juggling her new responsibilities while dealing with difficult clients isn't easy, however. Danger lurks around every corner-and Jasper, the handsome and powerful Devil's Advocate, is continually looming over her shoulder in the office.

Can Saffron prove her worth to the world of magic? Or will she make one mistake too many and find herself in mortal danger?

Lovely warm main character and a nicely twisty plot with a witty and imaginative take on fairy godmothers. Well narrated with a great range of voices.

Another gripping story...

I love these. I think it is maybe no. 2 best so far from Helen and since she is my favorite author these days and I read (the ones not on audible) and listened to all, it is starting to get rather a longish list (Thanks HH for keeping at it with this level of vigour)...
I love that Helen´s main characters are always optimists and always oh so human- even if they are magical.
They do a lot of embarrassing things (it is like watching Mr Bean sometimes, you are really squirming with embarrassment for Saffron), are determined to be always as good as they can and always have friends who will help.
I am looking forward to get the 3rd in series.
Oh my no 1 is, of course, Slouch Witch, so if you did not listen/read it- do! It is hilarious!
Ms. Urquhart - You did a great job again!!!

What a ride!

The series has it all, plenty of unique characters, a fastpaced storyline and humour. I've read or listened to all the author's books. I can't use my Kindle to read anymore, as I can't hold or swipe it. Having switched over to audible versions I am gradually buying them. I can't imagine a life without books so really appreciate the authors who release the audible versions soon after the Kindle or paperbacks.

Another Great Series
