I grew up in the same areas the author did, I absolutely adored this book! I’m 52 and the changes between 1963 and 1983 feel minimal to the area- brought back many happy memories! I’d love to hear more of these stories- a delight to read after the festivities.

This is a relatively enjoyable book in the seasons set but is nowhere near as engaging as ‘Autumn’, which focuses on the natural world a lot more than ‘Winter’ which I found overly anthropomorphic. Overall, a disappointing listen
