From HiJinks Ink Publishing and Shannon Mayer comes Windburn (Book Four) in The USA Today best-selling Elemental series. With over one million books sold, Shannon Mayer proves once again she can dominate her genre right out of the gate.

"My name is Larkspur, and I am an Elemental."

My people use the power of the earth to sustain life and defy our enemies. I should be at my father's side as a royal princess. But as a half-breed, bastard child, that isn't going to happen.

The King is missing and his mind is cracked. It is up to me to find him before the Rim is taken over by the bloodthirsty heir to the throne.

But the path to finding the King is anything but straight, and I find myself in the human world facing possible banishment. All to find a Tracker who happens to be on the run from a demon, yet she is my only hope in bringing my father home.

Nothing is as it seems and I'm uncertain who is friend or foe. My impending punishment threatens to suffocate me as I defy our laws and fight to bring peace to my home...and fight to keep those I love the dearest alive.

How will I get both my father and I out of this one unscathed? Welcome to being The Chosen One.

I love this series, the more I go into it the more I enjoy it and the more I don't want it to end. As always edge of seat suspense can't wait for next one

Struggled to finish because when I first read the book I struggled to finish the book as well. I always find at least 1 shannon book each series upsets me or frustrates the heck out of me. This book brings a lot into the light whilst throwing more shadows and I always feel like i want to scream at the characters. I know this is needed to push the story along and it demonstrates shannons craft well, but for me this one was a little less enjoyable but purely from a personal preference. Definitely need to read.

This one sets more of the scene

This is the fourth episode in Lark's adventures and the final book before Rylee's time line begins so I had high expectations seeing that Rylee series is quite long before we find out what is instore for Lark.
I must say that I'm not disappointed! this book was fast paced, full of action and adorable characters. seriously the author can make a spin off series for so many of the side characters.
I was a bit frustrated at the ending... not going to give away spoilers and I cant wait to see Lark again soon. just need to work through Rylee!

wow! 4th book in series and can't wait for more

The twists and turns in this book are just fantastic. I couldn’t stop listening to it, even when at times I should have been sleeping ;) just when you think it’s all over - think again! Lauren is so good with the performances, too. At one point I had to re-listen to a passage because I couldn’t believe it was her!

Addictive listening
