Really appreciated the narrator Annalee Scott, she really gave life to Bex!
Set in a prestigious high school I loved the slow burn, creating the perfect atmosphere. I think the fact that Bex was neurodivergent gave more depth to the story. Her brain works differently and she's always been treated differently, although her mum and sister love her to pieces! So her herself is also inclined to think her brain is hallucinating and playing tricks on her when things start happening first to her schoolmates and then to her!
Really enjoyed this one, which I suppose is YA but I found it so engrossing that I'm sure adults will also like it as I did!
Until the very end there was uncertainty and my mind kept going back and forth between paranormal and real for an explanation of the events.. I thought that was really well done!
The ending was nothing I would have expected ever and it was not satisfying at all but it fit with the story and I'm ok with that. I have some questions unanswered but probably that was the purpose of the author. I do hope though we get to see Bex again!
