Lieutenant Jacqueline "Jack" Daniels is having a bad week. Her live-in boyfriend has left her for his personal trainer, chronic insomnia has caused her to max out her credit cards with late-night home shopping purchases, and a frightening killer who calls himself "The Gingerbread Man" is dumping mutilated bodies in her district.

While avoiding the FBI and its moronic profiling computer, joining a dating service, mixing it up with street thugs, and parrying the advances of an uncouth PI, Jack and her binge-eating partner, Herb, must catch the maniac before he kills again...and Jack is next on his murder list.

Whiskey Sour is the first book in the bestselling Jack Daniels series, full of laugh-out-loud humor and edge-of-your-seat suspense.

Eleştirmen yorumları

Dual voices add considerable interest to this debut novel....The production's conversations sound more like those of a radio play than a reading, and one gets the feeling that both actors are having fun. This is a fine series opener." ( AudioFile)

The story line was clever and the author had my emotions ebbing and flowing. Moving back and forth from, tension, and anxiety to relief, humour and dialogue that played its part with every character.
I normally read Patterson or Deaver, the later holding number one position. Now I can say there is, in my opinion within this genre a new number two!

Gripping, amusing and a read I will definitely recommend

I bought this audiobook expecting a cosy mystery - it is not, it is very violent in places and deals with torture. It is really well written, the characters are interesting, and the narration is fantastic, but I won’t be listening to more books in this series.

What a cracker of a book loved jack and co , the narration is very good although I prefer the male over the female voice found her quite stilted not natural or flowing as she narrates but having said that can't recommend this book enough.

Listened to the sample thought bought it then not okay. Sorry narration did my head in…and I usually like Konrath books! Bought as a BOGOF.

Not for me!
