What would you do if your son went missing? How far would you go to get him back?

Michael Barton comes home to find his infant son gone. There is no trace of the kidnappers, and the police have no leads. Michael is driven by a promise and he will not stop. Detective Jason Strong led the task force to find Michael's son and has become his friend. But as Michael's darkness grows, Jason fears he may be the only one who can stop him. It is a race against time, as the detective tries to stop the events that will change everyone, before it's too late.

Read the reviews, and was a bit put off. Glad I took no notice of the negative reviews though as I thought this was well written and exciting through to the end.
Was worried about the outcome, but not going to spoil the ending by saying anymore.
Well worth a listen.

I have really enjoyed listening to this intriguing story, finished in one go. The author, characters and narrator were great.

A really enjoyable listening experience.

Just pitiful and monotonous. I would stop here but it’s a 15 word minimum. Don’t bother with this one

Absolute drivel

I have enjoyed the Stone County Series by the same author, so downloaded this book with expectations of the same. No such luck! Plodding and unbelievable, even speeding up the narration made little difference. Gave up half way through.

Tedious

It's supposed to be a book about a detective but his role is minimal

Very weak storyline
