Fetching a cat out of a tree should’ve been a quick, easy fifty bucks in Kanika’s pocket. Instead, following one stray thought, the devil pays her a visit and leaves her with a debt to repay.

Owing the devil a favor is bad enough, but her life is turned upside down when it’s time to pay the piper. First, she doesn’t want the world’s sexiest firefighting, kitten-rescuing Scot as an unwilling companion. Since that wasn’t bad enough, she doesn’t know who wants him dead or why, but there’s no way in hell she’s going to let someone mar his perfection.

Add in the fact the devil wants an heir, and there’s only one thing she knows for certain: she’s in for one hell of a job.

This is really funny. Her relationship with the Devil is hilarious, and with her romantic interest is intense. Her shifting mishaps was quite something.
Love this series. The narration was really good, but it would have been better if it was a duet.

great fun

Love the characters, the sass and the convoluted storyline. Just when it feels like the tale is winding down a whole other section starts up. I listened to it on Audible. When I listen to some books have to speed up the delivery as my brain is a bit like 15 squirrels on cocaine. I think the narrator is a little bit 20 squirrels. Also the quality of sound is weird. The tones change sometimes sentance to sentence. Other than that really fun.

A little bit Terry Pratchet.

Love this author’s wild and wacky books. I already knew bits of Kanika’s story from other books, but it all gels more here.

I found this narrator a bit too rapid, but listening at 0.85 speed worked well

Takes a while to get going but it’s good

I stumbled upon the first book in this series and it was exactly what I needed at this point in my life.
The books are well written and very funny.

This book was one of my favorites in the series.
I’m a bit sad the next books currently cost me credits and I’m currently unable to get more of them.

Fel in love with the books.
