When her old boyfriend Ben reappears and reminds her of their pact to get married if they were both still single at thirty, she jumps at the chance. There will be no dates and no engagement—just a straight wedding march to the altar! Next comes the honeymoon on the Greek island where they first met.

But not everyone is thrilled with Lottie and Ben’s rushed marriage, and family and friends are determined to intervene. Will Lottie and Ben have a wedding night to remember. . . or one to forget?

I let out a huge, embarrassing honk of laughter on the tube reading Wedding Night. And then, two stops later, I did it again. This is why Sophie Kinsella is beloved by millions - her books are properly mood-altering. Funny, fast and farcical. I loved it.
The most hilarious, breathless romp imaginable. You’ll laugh and gasp on every page
The narrative gallops along with humorous scenes and great one-liners...and you won't be able to stop reading until you find out how all the loose ends tie up.
Sure to make you laugh out loud... this book can't fail to lift your mood.
This witty tale of misunderstandings and misplaced feelings will tickle your fancy. Kinsella traces Lottie's circuitous pursuit of her elusive fairytale ending with her signature charm and humour.
Reading this comedy of errors is so much fun that it feels like a lovely treat. This funny, fast-moving novel comes highly recommended.

Not very witty. Quite a tame and slow story that dragged a bit. I would not recommend it, as Sophie Kinsella has other much more interesting story books instead.

very slow story but OK overall

When listening to this book, I felt like Penguin had given Sophie a deadline to write a particular number of books and she was rushing to meet a deadline. It's long in the about of chapters, yet feels rushed. It's predictable and not anywhere near as funny as other books I've read by her, with the exception of the odd sentence scattered over the whole book. I finished it because I feel like not finishing a book you're not enjoying is like turning back halfway when travelling to a new place you're not sure about. I listened quickly but it wasn't a page turner, I wanted it over with. Much like Arthur's advice I won't be coming back to this. Narrators were great but there was an error with the chapter number being said and that on screen.

Not the Sophie Kinsella I'm used to

I do enjoy Sophie Kinsella books. I kind of settled on this book as nothing much was taking my fancy. The beginning is quiet fast paced and made it difficult for me to relax into. Part way through I did have a massive belly laugh as it wasn’t working out for the characters and woke my husband up from his sleep. It was a nice read but nothing special.
