Narrator for Will is excellent, narrator for Pearce is too breathy and emphatic, which does not blend well; IMO Zachary Johnson's style is jarring. BUT do not be put off, this story is gripping, passionate, poignant, compelling and tear-jerking.

There is a twist at halfway you never see coming, whereupon Pearce's soul descends to a new low in standing and attitude. The twist seems improbable, unless it's happened to you.

Researching this book, I discover I have enjoyed other books by these authors. This book left me uncomfortably numb and sorry it is over.

V ENTERTAINING.

If you want a recommendation for another book narrated by Jacob Morgan that will take you to the stars and back: Priest by Sierra Simone.

Such pathos! I was concerned that it would all end badly. I was enthralled with the story from beginning to end.

Really good story, sometimes the characters were annoying me, but its not a bad-annoyance. Narration really nice and steamy scenes... well, steamy.

TW this book does contain cheating, so if that's a no for you, don't listen to it.

Whilst Jacob Morgan is one of my favourite narrators, I found that his performance was definitely overshadowed by Zachary Johnson's. Although he can occasionally sound shouty/angry, his rendition of hurt emotions and passion was top tier.

For a book with a fair bit of angst, but still a HEA, I would definitely recommend listening to it.
