The Cynsters are back in a brilliant new series from USA Today and New York Times bestseller Stephanie Laurens! Fans adore Laurens’s irrepressible fictional family of sexy scoundrels and passionate ladies and their amorous Regency Era exploits. In Laurens’s sensational new Cynster historical romance, it’s Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue when feisty Heather Cynster steps out of her safe, dull social circle in search of a dashing hero to wed…and ends up kidnapped, scandalized and whisked out of London, with her only hope for salvation—and love—resting with a notorious rogue lord.

Sorry narration was poor, repeated mispronunciation and shocking accents, agree with previous reviewer, would put off buying others by same narrator

Good story substandard narration.

There were several mispronunciations. One English character, Richard, was given a very poor Scottish accent.

A great and different story to the rest of the Cynsters. However, why in gods name does Richard have a Scottish accent? He grew up with Devil and the rest of the Cynsters in England. Bring back Simon Prebble

Great appart from a small matter

Loved the story, which takes you on many twists and turns. Unusually, for this type of book, the narrator is male. He did a very creditable job, until the story moved to Scotland. Ou4 poor narrator couldn’t get to grips with a Scottish accent and so headed due south to Merseyside and channelled his inner Ringo Starb instead….for both male and female characters 🤪. It didn’t spoil the story but that’s why he only got a 4 for performance. Recommended.

Enjoyable Romp

I enjoyed the original Cynster series narrated by Simon Prebble and in comparison, Matthew Brenher is like hearing your RE teacher reading a text book. To see that the rest of this series is also read by Matthew Benher give me pause and tbh, I don't think I'll bother buying them as I really cannot bear his-stilted-almost-robotic-manner-of-reading-the-words. Such a shame as the stories deserve better, whoever gave him these books to read should be sacked, his voice is just not suited to HR

All that being said, I do enjoy the different storylines/scenarios that Stephanie Laurens comes up with.

Spoiled by the narrator :(
