The hilarious new live stand-up show from the star of Jonathan Creek.

As well known for his brilliant stand-up comedy as for his universally popular role as Jonathan Creek, Urban Trauma features Alan at his very funniest in this sell out live stand-up show filmed at the Duchess.

Join Alan as he renounces Satan, tries to keep his terrorising cats under control and shares his plans to launch 'pants in the laundry basket' as an Olympic sport, while the packed audience is kept in stitches at his hilarious surrealist comedy.

'Forget the cuddly TV persona, the Live Alan Davies is ruder and much funnier...If you like the TV Alan, you'll love the live Alan. And if you don't like the TV Alan, you'll ove the live Alan even more' Independent on Sunday

He made me laugh a lot and hardly a swear word in it at all! Nice one, how do you do it Alan!

We really enjoyed this show. I just earned a “badge” from audible for re listening to it 😄 it’s deja vu.

Knowing Alan Davies only through T.V.'s Jonathan Creek and QI, and having recently read his moving autobiography, Just Ignore Him, I was delighted to find this stand up performance available for free through the Audible Plus programme. He sounded very young, rather sweet despite his monologue on poop and scooters Not being able to see him detracted from the performance: what was he doing alongside embarrassed sounding nervous laughter? The audience reaction indicated enjoyment especially in the second half of the programme.

Short (just over an hour) and, at times rather charming in a childish sort of way, echoing fragments of his outlook as a boy, I'm glad to have listened and recommend it to anyone who enjoys stand up in general and Davies in particular

Alan Davies gives a good performance and is very funny, the only problem is that at times you really need to be able to see him to know what's going on. He'll be half way through a story and then after a few seconds of silence the audience cracks up and you haven't seen what's happened and don't find what he says next as funny as they do. He also has a tendency to whisper a line or two from time to time making it hard to hear properly. For some reason they've also cut the second half of the joke about B.A. pilots out. If you want to enjoy the show properly then you should really watch it on DVD

Good fun for the most part.
