Lovely story but highly longwinded. My attention couldn't be kept on the story due to all the filler parts.

This could have easily be half as long...

I love this novel. i understand why some other reviewers feel frustrated at the pace of the story. If you are looking for pacy spice, this is not the book for you. But if you want a sustained, dreamy, atmospheric, detailed world with a realistic slowburn romance, then I thoroughly recommend 🥰

you can tell the writer has a love of baseball in this story. The character Zach took longer than me to come out 🫤.

In parts it's seems long winded, it doesn't surprise me the character of Eugenio got annoyed with Zach and left him, in parts I thought good for him. Zach cared more about what people 'thought' it kinda of made the story annoying.

I don't like not finishing books, even if they are bad, it would have been better if the story was told by the characters POV.

The narrator did the best he could but it dragged in parts.

if you want to read about long winded coming out and denial story have a listen, there are better books in this genre.
