They say a soul mate only comes along once. I believe it, too. I had my chance, but it slipped away. Each day a little more of myself dies, but I pretend I’m fine.

That is until I see him - the man who makes me feel alive - Garrick Shaw.

Something within me changes. It’s unavoidable and unlike anything I’ve ever known. And it scares me, terrifies me.

But there’s another danger lurking around the corner. Someone is conspiring to take it all away.

Who are they?

What do they want?

Why are they after me?

Only time will reveal what’s really going on. Hopefully, Garrick and I survive the fallout.

so you can guess I enjoyed it. A nice mix of romance and mystery, nothing really taxing just a very enjoyable book to curl up with when you deserve a lazy day to put your feet up.

2nd time listening to the series

This could have been a brilliant plot, if not for all the gushing and over the top unbelievable sentimentality. Nobody speaks in sentence’s like the lovebirds.
The narrator did the best she could with the material she was given.
I want to know the outcome, but cannot bear to listen to one more book, let alone two.
So happy to remain ignorant

Sentimental drivel

The storyline is great! It’s packed with danger, suspense, and lots of steam, add in the fantastic characters and I was hooked. Not my favourite narrator.
