Shiny Blades. Scorching Fire. Falling Feathers.

That's me, Everly Banks, the original supernatural. After being betrayed by The Council and given to a madman, I burned it all to the ground. Now all I want is to stay hidden, protecting those who need it from the shadows.

When four hunters show up on my doorstep asking for my help and trying to drag me back into the light, I send them and their secrets packing. Did I mention they work for The Council?

I may not have a choice. An army of demons is amassing and innocents are getting caught up in its net. My only friend may be next.

Trusting them may burn me, but I've always played with fire.

Contains mature themes.

Different from what I expected but very enjoyable. Just wish there was more magic etc for the main character seeing she is it! Getting the second book.
Narration good.

Good

Really good book. bit slow getting to a storyline, but the writer has a way with words, and some lines made me laugh, without it trying 2b funny. Once the storyline kicks in, it gets better and better.
The book had 2 narrators, Male and female, and both good, but the main character is female and she is really brought to life by the narrator.
ending was very abrupt and right where build-up is about to unfold.
so all-around good book
good narrator's and definitely getting book two. ps if you don't like occasional swear words, then definitely not a book 4 you

slow burner, which the adult humour makes up for
