Discover the first novel in the gripping Will Trent series, from the Sunday Times bestselling crime and thriller author.

Now a major TV Series on Disney+

When Atlanta police detective Michael Ormewood is called out to a murder scene, he finds himself faced with one of the most brutal murders of his career.

As a one-off killing it is shocking, but it soon becomes clear Aleesha Monroe is just the latest victim in a series of similar attacks.

Twenty-four hours later, the violence Michael sees every day explodes in his own back yard.

And it seems the mystery surrounding Monroe's death is inextricably entangled with a past that refuses to stay buried...

Eleştirmen yorumları

An explosive thriller with plenty of twists - this is criminally spectacular
Triptych is structured and paced brilliantly; the tension is unceasing throughout
Without doubt an accomplished, compelling and complex tale, with page-turning power aplenty
The writing is lean and mean, and the climax will blow you away
Gripping, gruesome and definitely not for the faint-hearted
Slaughter deftly turns all assumptions on their head ... Her ability to make you buy into one reality, then another, means that the surprises - and the violent scenes - keep coming

loved it. The narrator's voice didn't at any point irritate me like some. It's a good read whether you listen or physically read the book.

The story was interesting, sometimes I would get a little lost because it jumps between characters a lot. The narrator took a bit of getting used to initially, can’t work out why though, I think there wasn’t much emotion in his voice so it was sometimes difficult to understand the situation.

Overall I really enjoyed the book 😊
