Orlena Mavrich little dreamed what winter on Triple Creek Ranch would be like. Her awakened conscience and inability to “be good” are not the only cause for tears. Will the long winter days ahead bring only trouble and quick tempers? Join Mr. and Mrs. Mavrich, Mrs. O’Connor, and the ranch hands as they face winter’s storms within and without, relying on the Lord’s help to bring some wanderers home at last. This is the second book in the Triple Creek Ranch series by Rebekah A. Morris.

Pleasant Christian story. Narration could be a little better (more voice variations for characters) but still very good.

This simple, wholesome series suitable for family reading becomes more engaging in this second volume. Orlena is beginning to settle into the life at her brother’s ranch but finds she cannot overcome her temper and selfishness on her own. The gospel is clearly presented in the story to another newcomer and this helps her to think about her need of a Saviour.
Narration clear but a little flat.
