Respected and successful barrister Bernadette Wiseman is dead, hanged in the hall of her home. With no sign of foul play and no note, the question raised is why?
The police believe it was suicide, but Bernie’s partner, Annie, won’t accept that and instructs JJ Jenson to investigate.
As JJ and his sidekick, Davie, dig around in Bernie’s apparently perfect life, they discover professional jealousies, sinister threats and dangerous enemies, but can they establish what actually happened? And more importantly, to honour Bernie’s own dedication to justice, can they prove it?
When JJ begins to question whether Bernie’s life was as perfect as she liked people to believe, he sets off a dangerous chain of events, putting his own life in danger. But who is he up against?

It is great to catch up with JJ, Davey, Sharon, and of course 7 year-old Luke who continues to bring a unique spark to the story. "Too Many Times" is well-paced with plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing all the way to the end. The dual narration by Lee Beddow and Perdita Lawton was spot-on and brought the characters to life brilliantly. A great addition to the JJ Jenson series, highly recommended for fans and new listeners alike! Although this would work as a stand alone it would be better to read books 1 and 2 first as there is a back story, especially with Davey.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the author and leave this honest unbiased review.

This is a really well paced story that had me hooked from the beginning. I thought I had the villain figured out several times but JJ & Davie are obviously far better detectives than me as I was wrong as usual. The characters in JJ's "team" are all very believable and they all work well together. As in the first two books there are red herrings and twists that add to the plot making this an excellent book. Highly recommended.
The narrators, Lee Beddow & Perdita Lawton bring the characters to life with each one having their own unique voice. A pleasure to listen to.

I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and am voluntarily writing an honest and unbiased review.
