Not to be outdone by her sisters' marriage-producing scandals, quiet and withdrawn Madison Banks quickly finds herself walking down the aisle to a man who has secretly loved her for years. Her groom, however, has no idea how to show his new bride that he truly loves her and, following a bungled wedding night, finds himself in a position to either win his wife once and for all or lose her forever. Can he prove himself worthy of her? Will she accept his love? Or will jealousy and past insecurities tear the pair apart?

A very cute period romance. She's American and quite free with her words and behaviour, but she has been scarred by her previous lover.
He's been in love with her since first setting eye in her.
Their journey to a hea was a dramatic one, full of miscommunication, assassination attempts, and family drama.
The narration was great.

these sister are scandalous indeed

This is not a great book, but it’s far better than book two!

This has a great premise and storyline but Madison was really rather tedious! The story arc plays out perfectly and the series ends satisfactorily, but sometimes the journey, whilst it started very well, was torturous during book 2 and agitating in big parts of book 3.

Still… if you enjoy book one, you’re honour bound to read the others.

I’ve read the other reviews and wonder if we were all listening to the same book.

Weird and definitely not to my taste.
