Exploration of everything we believe and why. Cutting to the heart of our actions. Touching our nerves and soul until the scab is a scar and part of who we are; a birthmark onto the real us. But not too heady, not too vague to understand, rather right there where we all exist every day of our lives. Answering the questions we have in our quiet moments away from the chaos of living. The Universe is a book for all believers and unbelievers of anything and everything and nothing. Every spiritualist, every devout person, every apostate, every soccer mom, every yuppie, every hippie, every priest, every drunk. It is designed to leave a mark, whether positive or negative.

A short (only one and one half hours) book suggesting a refreshing reconsideration of the way in which we observe the universe, rather than to slavishly follow rules, to look for patterns and accept the internal linkages each one of us has with everyone and everything. And to accept that things are happening as they are supposed to happen, to resist an urge to push the universe in directions of our own desires realizing that the universe just is, nothing ends, and is the sum of everything.

For so brief a piece, this work is erudite and well worth considering. Although suggesting we look beyond religious organisations, the author does not deny them, indeed using brief quotations from religious books, and, in particular, the Bible. But it suggests that we should look beyond the lists of rules. Equally as well read by John Ashton Nickerson, as it is written by Roderick Edwards, this is a book well worth considering. My thanks to the rights holder who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy

I thought this was going to be another book Written by an atheist and it was going to totally best Christian movie. I am a Christian and I agree with a lot of the stuff he said in this book and a lot of it is common sense and have to do with common decency. I was so excited about this Brooke halfway through I stopped and got my husband to listen to it with me. He is also A Christian and again he agreed with most of the book. Especially the chapter towards the end where he talks about real people and what constitute a real person and how everything is connected and how nothing is connected but we are all a part of the same universe. Essentially in one chapter he explains and this is my words not his, that if we were all like the world wouldn’t work the way it does. And we shouldn’t be kind because we want to go to Heaven but because you’re interacting with another human being. Anyway being kind just to get into heaven doesn’t work because it’s not genuine and God knows your heart but I digress. This book was awesome the narrator was awesome this guy has a very well thought out points in one that I totally agree with. We are all here working like cogs in the wheel and we were made the way we are made and we fit perfectly with the person next-doorWho fits perfectly with our neighbor and although it doesn’t look like a well thought out plan it actually is. I just love this book I wish I was one of those people who had the words to let you know the reasons I love this book but I’m not that person. All I can say is a highly recommended and if you like I’m booked on profound commonsense then you should get this book.

I thought I was going to absolutely dislike the au
