Second Edition

Erik West is an ex-combat medic. He and his best friend, marine recon sniper Jimmy "Rugrat" Rodriguez, have been thrown into another world. They've become one of the "cursed". Now they have to figure out this fantasy world, where cultivation, skills, and abilities must be grown...or death awaits.

Ascension is just around the corner, whatever that means. But they'll need to master magic and temper their bodies to survive. In a world where your personal strength is your greatest value, Erik and Rugrat have to start from the bottom. But they've cut their teeth in conflicts all across Earth and honed their skills over years of training while creating a bond and upholding their honors and oaths.

It's not a question of if they are ready for the 10 realms, but instead are the 10 realms ready for them?

it has been recommended to me a few times but I never got to it until now. And it was a very nice surprise, I hope it keeps going good and strong throughout the series 😊💪

Worth the hype 😊

Really enjoyed this story. Well written and well performed, some moments made laugh out loud. Looking forward to more from this series and this author.

Just the book I was looking for.

Good story, but quickly devolves into a tower defense and dungeon core story instead of focusing on the main adventurers and their story, which is completely different than what the book advertised itself as.

If you love dungeon core series, this might be the series for you

I have seen this book recommended to me for a while but based on the Blurb it seemed pretty dull and uninteresting. It was only once I saw a friend of mine had read it and rated it well, did I decide to give it a go and I am very glad I did. It is a really good read.
+ Characters have depth.
+ Varied and interesting combat.
+ Continual character development.
+ You can tell Michael Chatfield had faith that this was going to be the start of a long series. That sort of confident relaxed overarching storyline is so hard to find.
+ Characters learn and adapt to situations with an organic thought process.
+ Neil Hellegers does a really good job brining these characters to life.
+ Variety of cultural inspirations incorporated.

Very glad I gave this a chance.
