What a selfish man and what a yeuky ending. It was ok until the final few chapters that went on far too long and made me despise the father more and more.

Gives a lovely insight from the children’s point of view as to how divorce affects them

Not exactly a thriller this, but certainly a mystery. In the end it’s more about how you get drawn into this family’s situation, and how you come to care about what happens to them. Of course you could say that about all Lisa Jewell’s books, which is why she’s such a great writer.

I usually love Lisa Jewell books as they always have a gripping storyline filled with twists and turns but I couldn’t decide with this if I loved or loathed it.
I didn’t feel that the story had any depth and towards the end Adrian just grated on me!
Would I recommend…. No sorry I wouldn’t
