Sinéad Nolan
'Sinead Nolan is one to watch' KARIN SLAUGHTER
High above Dublin Bay, fifteen-year-old Niamh Quinn is found barely alive on Killiney Hill, laid out beneath the Witch’s Hat monument, surrounded by the remains of a ritual. As she lies in a coma, her mother Ciara is forced into every parent’s worst nightmare, hunting a truth others seem determined to bury.
At Niamh’s exclusive Catholic girls’ school, rumours are spreading fast: witchcraft, cults, girls behaving strangely. The Gardaí suspect Niamh’s friends know more than they are saying, but Ciara knows the danger may reach further back than any of them realise.
Now, as the past begins to surface, Ciara must work out why some patterns seem fated to repeat. To save her daughter, she may have to expose the darkest truth of all: that some stories do not end when the book closes. They wait. They gather force. And they return.
