Özet

Some secrets will drag you under...

Edinburgh reporter Doug McGregor is no stranger to breaking the news. But when his editor is shot dead by a sniper in front of him, Doug becomes part of the headline.

His close friend and cop DS Susie Drummond orders him to stay out of the investigation, so Doug retreats to Skye, seeking solace from his old mentor’s fate.

But peace isn’t waiting on the island for Doug. Another murder in Edinburgh, which Doug suspects is linked, forces him back into the fray. Skye is no longer a sanctuary but a sniper’s hunting ground. And Doug may be the next target before he can expose the truth...

The Storm is the second book in the McGregor & Drummond series, starring a tortured journalist and a driven detective. Perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Stuart MacBride, JD Kirk and Chris Brookmyre’s Jack Parlabane novels.

Such an excellent follow up book for McGregor, Drummond et al. Blimey - I barely had time to breathe before my brain was racing away trying to work everything out then panicking for our characters. Neil Broadfoot is excellent and the snippet of the next book - well OMG.
Angus King’s narration is always done with feeling - superb.

Bloody Cracking.

I thought at first this was going to be a predictable story to be honest but I was wrong
It was very good with lots of twists and turns and unexpected outcomes
I’m getting quite fond of Doug even though he is a wee sh*te haha
Onto the next one while I wait for the next Jack Logan book 😬😬
