Life in the newly independent city state of Rosewater isn't everything its citizens were expecting....

Mayor Jacques finds that debts incurred during the insurrection are coming back to haunt him.

Nigeria isn't willing to let Rosewater go without a fight.

And among the city's alien inhabitants, a group has emerged who murder humans to provide bodies for their takeover....

Operating across spacetime, the xenosphere and international borders, it is up to a small group of hackers and criminals to prevent the extraterrestrial advance. The fugitive known as Bicycle Girl, Kaaro and his old handler Femi may be humanity's last line of defence.

The Rosewater Redemption is the powerful conclusion to Tade Thompson's award-winning Wormwood trilogy.

A clever clever story which creates a scientific basis for zombies and aliens invasions. But it's the characters that really shone. One of those books when you miss the characters. I hope they do some spin offs or some fanfic happens

very sad it's over

The story continued well and the character arch’s felt tight. There were instances where it seemed forced or a strong attempt to tie up a plot line.

Overall, it is a good story and performance.

A beautiful conclusion

I keep ducking out of reviewing this final part of the Wormwood trilogy and that's because, despite listening twice (on Audible) I still don't feel up to the task. What I can say is that Thompson has a knowledge base that carries him through a world of complexity and possibilities and he lets us see this by the way his story and characters evolve and behave, not through dropping chunks of it into the conversation like the party bore. It makes his contexts plausible however bizarre they seem because at the bottom of it all is evidential validity. You don't get to be a Hugo Finalist for nothing.
