New York Times bestselling author Christina Lauren returns with an unforgettable second chance romance in which a fateful accident erases a troubled marriage from memory—and a scientific breakthrough gives love one extraordinary do-over.

Three years ago, scientist Emery Finch did something completely out of character: She got married. To Luca—the impossibly charming landscaper she met on one blistering night in Vegas.

But now, Emery is consumed by her top-secret research—missing dinners, forgetting anniversaries, and promising herself Luca will understand once her discoveries come to light. Until the unthinkable happens: A tragic accident takes Luca from her.

Desperate not to lose him, Emery breaks every rule, using the classified technology she’s developed to bring him back to life. And Luca would probably thank her for it...if only he could remember their life together.

It may be a miracle of science, but for Emery, it’s her one shot at a second chance. And this time, she won’t waste it—because true love is always worth reviving. Literature & Fiction Romantic Comedy Women's Fiction

Eleştirmen yorumları

"Both talented performers, Whelan and Eli bring Emory and Luca’s story to life." —Kirkus
"Julia Whelan and Vas Eli narrate this contemporary second-chance romance with a twist. Scientist Emory has long been obsessed with her research, and that doesn’t change when she falls for and marries Luca. After Luca dies and their troubled marriage is tragically cut short, Emory uses her classified research to bring him back to life. There’s just one complication: He doesn’t remember his life before his death. Whelan’s skill is undeniable as she captures not only Emory’s driven personality, but also the characters surrounding the couple. Eli exquisitely imbues his portrayal with the depth of emotion Luca experiences as he battles amnesia." —Kirkus

I loved this soo much. I like the romantic mystery genre and i read many books from the authors, but i think this is the first i read from them in this genre. It had a balance of romance, spice and mystery. It had a unique plot and a second chance romance. For me the narrator for Luca's chapters sounded a bit too old for a 29 year old men.
Well done. I cannot wait for their next book.

A romantic mystery, something new from the authors
