Local detective Patrik Hedstrom, expecting a baby with his girlfriend Erica, can only imagine what it is like to lose a child. When a second young girl goes missing, Hedstrom's attention focuses on the Hults, a feuding clan of misfits, relgious fanatics and criminals. The suspect list is long but time is short – which of this family's dark secrets will provide the vital clue?

It was an enjoyable listen...I'd say Scandinavian Agatha Christie. Not quite a masterpiece but it fit together nicely. I guessed the wrong murderer, so that was a good surprise.

enjoyable story

Enjoyed this despite the narrators idea of a female voice to be somewhat patronising. Preferred the first one though this story is still definitely worth listening to.

Great story shame about narrator

Having started my 'path' through Scandanavian mystery novels with Stieg Larsson and then moving onto Henning Mankell I decided to try another scandanavian writer....

I enjoyed this story all the way through and while it didn't grip me the same as Stieg Larson's trilogy I did find it an enjoyable and easy listening experience and am going to purchase the other English version book by the same author.

As another reviewer said I would like to hear more scandanavian crime novels available on audible.

Enjoyable Easy Listening
