FROM THE #1 BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE HARRY BOSCH AND LINCOLN LAWYER SERIES

An electrifying standalone thriller that breaks all the rules!

Death is reporter Jack McEvoy's beat: his calling, his obsession. But this time, death brings McEvoy the story he never wanted to write - and the mystery he desperately needs to solve. A serial killer of unprecedented savagery and cunning is at large. His targets: homicide cops, each haunted by a murder case he couldn't crack. The killer's calling card: a quotation from the works of Edgar Allan Poe. His latest victim is McEvoy's own brother. And his last...may be McEvoy himself.

Typical Connelly book keeps you guessing until the last minute, I have to say the narration is superb. I think a follow up to that story could have been justified. I have always considered him to be one of the best, watch that space I always say. Thoroughly reccomended.

Another good value audio book from Michael Connelly. I have only recently discovered Michael Connolly books and to date I have been pleased with them all. The pace and excitement of his books leave you waiting for more. I do look at the length of time the book so as to get value for my money.
If you have not read any of Connelly's book this is a good one to start with.

The voice was good but how does Mr Connelly do it - another, well crafted and believable character in an excellently tense situation.

Very enjoyable, thanks.

Enjoyable and clever. However not totally gripping. I like most of his books and will continue to listen to more.

OK but not perfect

This is a well written and tense story. Very well narrated. Absolutely could not stop listening to it, in the car, at work, in traffic and even making coffee. Looking forward to listening to the sequel....yes there is another one!! Michael Connelly writes superbly and his books are so well narrated that you want to listen to them all the time.

Brilliant, well written, edge of seat
