A brand-new detective mystery from number one best-selling author Helen H. Durrant.

Ronald Potter is found dead on the kitchen floor of a house he was about to show a client around. Ronald led a blameless life, and Detective Matt Brindle and the team cannot find any motive for his murder.

But an intensive search of the property leads to a very disturbing discovery in the cellar.

Meanwhile, a young mother is being held captive by someone who will stop at nothing to get the information they want.

DI Matt Brindle discovers connections to organised crime and a sleazy nightclub. Can he expose the villains before any more people die?

This is a detective mystery full of twists and turns, with a stunning edge-of-your-seat ending.

If you like Angela Marsons, Rachel Abbott, Mel Sherratt, Ruth Rendell or Mark Billingham, you will enjoy this exciting new crime fiction writer.

It was hard to follow at times as there are so many characters. It was a good plot. The narration was really good although the voices put to the two young men grated on my nerves a little

Another excellent book and narration

Accents not true to Northern areas, there are so many different ones in the North of England. Womens voices not quite right, more practice needed here. Stick to the day job, as in David Archer. You are much better at Southern dialects Mr Bentink. I enjoyed the story though.

Story good
