There is never enough time in Kinvara. When Helen Liddy is asked what she wants for her birthday, she says, "Time. That's what I want. Time." Fifteen-year-old JJ is continuing the Liddy family tradition with his fiddle-playing. But one day, he discovers that music might not be the only thing that runs in his veins. Can it be true that his great-grandfather was a murderer? When JJ sets out to buy his mother some time, he discovers the answer, as well as some truly remarkable things about music, myth, and magic. Who knows where the time goes? JJ does.©2005 Kate Thompson; (P)2007 Random House Action & Adventure Fairy Tales, Folk Tales & Myths Genre Fiction Literature & Fiction Mystery, Thriller & Suspense Psychological Science Fiction & Fantasy Thrillers & Suspense Kurgu Fantastik Mitoloji

"Thompson packs her mesmerizing, chaotic novel with Irish culture...interconnected mysteries, and sly questions about the stresses of contemporary life and the age-old frictions between religion and folklore." ( Booklist)

I wanted it to go on for much longer. The music was just right and the narrator excellent.
