I'm really enjoying books by this author. They are packed with heat, drama and all the feels. This book was so good on audio. The narration was brilliant to bring the story to life.
I have read a lot of ages gap books this year and I enjoyed this one. It was quite a big age gap with 18 years of a difference but I had a great time with this book.
Rowan is really struggling to look after his three kids as well as trying to run the house and the demands of his lawyer job. The kids are also trying to adapt after their mother sadly passed away. Although Rowan and their mum were separated there is still a lot to adapt to.
A chance meeting between Elianna and River (Rowan's brother) and his youngest daughter finds Elianna interviewing for the nanny job. With a wealth of experience and caring nature she ends up working with the family but what she doesn't count on was this family becoming her own.
This was a forbidden romance that builds the tension and I've found this author is really good at that. The kids all playing up and getting into all kinds of trouble was very entertaining to read and you can see why Rowan was tearing his hair out. River also added a lot of hilarity with his laid back/fun attitude.
But really the story between Rowan and Elianna was so lovely. Elianna herself had been through a lot and she was very mature for her age. Instantly likeable and Rown was super swoony. They made a great pairing.
I loved this and I'm excited to continue with Rivers story.
