Most of this book was exciting and captivating and very well narrated. It flows along very nicely until the final hour when it didnt really resolve very well at all - or maybe I was a feeling a bit tired. It was as if Tony parsons suddenly 'lost the plot' All that apart it was a good listen and I am sure it will become a good series over time.

Almost but not quite.

The story was great, likeable main character, good plot with plenty of twists and turns, but you'll have to put up with the awful Sam Spade narration. I almost gave up after 5 minutes, it's so grating. Stick with it, eventually you'll build up an immunity.

Worth it, despite the narration

I hesitated to buy this book because of some of the reviews but I'm so glad I did. At one or two points I feared the story was going to be somewhat predictable but I'm pleased to say I was wrong. Quite the reverse! I hope this is the start of a series. The narrator was excellent; just right for the voice of Max Wolfe.

Refreshingly good

Fantastic story, excellently acted/read, wonderfully written! Steamed through this and already downloaded the next one !! Who doesn’t like a flawed main character and a whodunnit!!

Great story
