Arriving home and discovering the betrayal by her best friend and lover, Eli Fortner leaves to run off her anger and hurt. A chance stop at a convenience store and the purchase of lottery tickets send Eli’s life into a whirlwind of change.

Able to now pursue her dreams, Eli heads off to see what else fate has in store for her.

Whit Brewer, Eli’s neighbor, is everything Eli never knew she needed and wanted. But can she let go of the betrayal long enough to let Whit in?

Thirteen black cats, a baby goat, and Cruz, her furry best friend, join Eli on her adventure, new life, and the possibility of real love.

I wonder how many people win the lottery and truly go on to realise a beautiful life with family and friends - and multiple cats, a dog and a goat? I look forward to hearing more about Eli and Whit and their life in the mountains.

This is one of my favourite books written by Ali and when I found out they were on audible I baught them.

should have listened to samples. It is like listening to the Beverley Hill Billy's. You can't tell who is who.

I Love this Story

It’s all conversation about how much MC loves food, the new house and how much she loves her nephew. all that has happened in MC won the lottery and bought a cabin which she has just moved into. Im on chapter 10 and it’s all about what to buy, where to assemble furniture, and gushing about everything. Literally nothing happens. I fell asleep and I missed literally nothing except how happy MC and her nephew are about their deliveries. This whole book could have been an hour long if the pointless conversations were removed.

Nothing happens. It’s all pointless conversations
