The vampire Guild is in shambles. My husband Clive and I might have given more than a few Masters their final deaths—allegedly—so it's fallen on us to fix the problem. Mostly on Clive, that is, as he's the Master vampire. I'm Sam Quinn, werewolf book nerd and owner of The Slaughtered Lamb Bookstore & Bar.

Vlad (yes, that one) and Cadmael are the houseguests no one would want, but we're trying to grin and bear it because the Guild must be rebuilt, and we must make haste as rogue vamps are becoming a big bloody problem.

Finvarra, the fae king who had it out for me even before I helped cause his brother's death, is coming to do what none of his assassins have managed: end me in as painful a manner as possible.

In other news, Stheno and Vlad have been hooking up, and we're all a little afraid of those two together.

Contains mature themes.

When is the next one coming? Never disappoints, audio voice is good and I can wait to see where the story goes next

Another terrifically story for Sam and Clive to solve who is killing people and making it look likeVampires. As they slowly go through very supernatural group dismissing them they are finding it hard to find it discover why they are being famed. The the guild arriving so they can agree who should be out forward to fill the missing seats, now is a bad time. Read brilliantly again by Samantha Dasz.

I was so happy to have the next installment of Sam Quinns story and it definitely hit the fix I needed but alas I've finished it far too soon 😢 I'm gonna have to start them over again waiting for the next 😅

Still in love with these books

Superb characters which grow in strength book on book. It is witty & full of exquisite descriptions of the supernaturals & their adventures.
A proper grown-up fantasy which is incredibly dark & wonderfully light side by side.
Samantha Desz is a wonderful narrator. Absolutely cannot wait for the next book!

An outstanding series.
