The thrilling sequel to The Immune!

The end of the world was only the beginning.

Thirteen years have passed since the Medusa plague wiped out nearly 99 percent of the world’s population and pushed humanity to the brink of extinction.

Climate change triggered by nuclear skirmishes in the last fevered days of civilization decimated agriculture and livestock, and the hardened survivors battle for what few resources remain.

Will Callahan is one of the lucky ones. In his small community in Nebraska, he and his family have access to food, clean water, weapons, and medical care.

More importantly, he is the only child known to have survived infancy since the plague. But everything changes when someone comes looking for him.

The Living is a powerful continuation of The Immune, expanding its bleak, post-apocalyptic world with even higher emotional stakes. The survivors of the Medusa Plague face a grim reality where no children live beyond birth, adding a haunting layer to an already desolate setting. Rachel, the determined protagonist, embarks on a dangerous journey with her son, driven by the hope of survival and the search for answers about humanity’s fate. The novel excels in its vivid atmosphere and deeply engaging characters, making the reader feel fully immersed in this broken world. With its gripping narrative and emotional depth, this installment confirms the author’s talent for storytelling. A compelling read that leaves you eager for the next book.

The story continues after Medusa.

its awful, so so so awful.
im 3 hours in and i can hardly stand how terrible the writting is.

the most flat characters, ridiculous writting full of contradictions.
The female lead character is weak, the sad attempts to give her depth come up so short.
the pace is slow, you could fall asleep and not miss much and skip a whole hour.
Slow builds in story's usually build characters; but the writting is too poor for that so its just slow, painful and leaves you regretting the waste of a credit.

what a load of rubbish
