One family. One legacy. One curse.
The Legacy marks the powerful beginning of Lynda La Plante's writing journey: a sweeping, multi-generational epic that introduces the scale, ambition, and emotional intensity that would define her crime-writing career.
At the heart of the story lies a family empire built on secrecy, loyalty, and ruthless ambition. As old feuds resurface and new alliances form, the narrative spans decades of conflict, desire, and the unforgiving pursuit of power. Lynda La Plante weaves together richly drawn characters and a world where every choice carries weight, every betrayal echoes, and every legacy comes at a cost.
Now available in audio for the very first time, The Legacy offers both longtime fans and new listeners the chance to experience the origins of one of Britain's most iconic crime writers.

A good story but found it very difficult to cope with the narrator, will hopefully be returned.

Found I'd seen the story televised

slow at the beginning, I felt like changing the book. Later picked up. Sort of worked out the way of the story. I wish someone else had narrated the book, just feel someone else maybe would have told the story better, no offence.

it wasn't till half way through it started to pick up, I sort of figured about freedom and eve.

found the story predictable and sounding similar to Martine Cole stories. I love Linda´s stories normaly and have bought many of her books. but I returned this and book 2.

Predictable and boring.
