A woman and her teenage daughter are found murdered in their South London home. The girl's throat has been cut. Her mother stabbed to death.

When DC Maeve Kerrigan arrives at the scene, her first thought is that this is a domestic dispute gone bad.
But the husband - found bloody and unconscious in an upstairs room - insists he's the third victim not the killer.

With Maeve's only witness refusing to talk, how will she unravel the truth?

I wasn’t sure if I liked this lot. This was the deciding book for me, to continue or to give up. I enjoyed it and I think I’ll be on to the next one now. It cleared up a lot of opinions I had before listening. Maeve is awesome.
Performance was wonderful as usual.

Better than I was expecting.

I loved the book, it was part of the Maeve Kerr8gan series and certainly didn't disappoint. I didn't imagine either ending, definitely worth listening to.

A great new book

Just didn't care about the characters. Maeves self destructiveness with her relationship is a bit draining. Her work partner being a low grade bully is draining to wade through..Just a second whole novel of him being silly. Taking a break from the series. When I went through books 1-3 back to back

Found this one hard to stick with

this was my 2nd Casey novel, wanted to give her a fair chance. Recommended to me - im a massive Tana French fan, but there is zero comparison. The narration doesn't help!

rambling and unlikeable
