Love how we get more focus on what's going on out there, rather than the "Dragons" and "Floaters" plotlines from before. Didn't find those as interesting as the actual space exploration and happenings. Can't wait for the next one!!

Finally in space again

Which is fair and it's still entertaining but you can tell his heart isn't in it and I believe I've seen him admit he's only still writing Bobiverse for the money.

Which is fine Dennis but if you want us to keep paying you, you have to put in the effort. This one was okay. Entertaining. I'll give the next one a shot but if quality keeps declining, that will be my last one.

Def phoning it in for the money

This is another good entry in the Bobiverse, but...
But it's transparent filler and shorter length which makes it feel like even more filler.
While listed as the second to last item - our old foe means a giant retcon followed by recycling big chunks of the first book while rehashing chunks of the fifth.
The extra pieces of this book are cribbed from Stargate Universe.
Which is to say - you could have a better experience by re-reading books 1&5 with SGU on in the background.

It feels a lot like this is one book split in half, then padded out to a word count.

As always, Ray Porter carries this, so even with a filler story it's still a delight. But the ending is extremely abrupt to the point I had to check I hadn't accidentally skipped a bunch of chapters.
on the one hand - great I want more because it is still a bad story told and read well. On the other - it feels like a disappointing cash-grab.

Ends Mid-Flow

So many open strings in the Bobiverse right now this chose to close some and open more. Hopefully we won’t have to wait so long for the next entry in the series.

Another great entry… but a bit short
