When the pack is under threat, Max is tasked with finding the man determined to take down his alpha and destroy his home. He'll never let that happen, even if that means working with Sharon, the council which he's never quite trusted. Sharon's trying to make up for putting the Steel pack's luna in danger, but Max, their stubborn beta, is making it extremely difficult. He refuses to believe she's really there to help, but while they hunt their mutual enemy, they'll have no choice but to have each other's backs. They need to get over their differences fast, or they won't make it back alive.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, so much so I’ve listened to it several times, right mix of story, spice and content.
The series is fantastic, each book is individual and unique but the series tells its own story.
Reading in collaboration with Shifters of Grey Ridge series, Steel pack alphas series and alpha games series.
Loved them all.

first book was great. narrators'performance is excellent. But around chapter 20 of the second book the direction seems to shift and by chapter 31 the whole perspective that author had so far painted about the mate bound just falls apart and turns sour. severely disappointed how this turned out

great series that took a sour turn
