Gray: There are some things I excel at: Exercising rigid control over every aspect of my life. Making sensible decisions at every turn. Being organized, predictable, and responsible.

In short, I'm boring as hell and in desperate need of a change. Luckily I have my best friend by my side and a newly written to-do list to guide my way through the murky waters of finding happiness. And as weeks pass, it becomes clear those not-so-innocent parts are the ones Gray is determined to explore with me. I can't resist him, and pretty soon I'm forced to admit that I'm not as done with my crush as I thought I was . . .

A nice, easy listen, exactly what i needed. parts had me chuckling and other parts had me having "ong duh" moments. but it was lovely and swoony. Can't wait for the next book in the series 🤞🏻

I really cannot stand him with his weird voice changing modulation. It would be perfect only with Kirt reading

Great story but the Joel Lesley is so annoying

Wow I loved this! The concept, story, characters, angst (low-mid), steam level (mid-high) - this was practically the perfect book for me. I found this book by looking for more Joel Leslie narration and the synopsis hooked me. Plus I'm also a fan of narrator Kurt Graves. I'd not heard these two do a dual narration before and while I don't think it was the best pairing, I loved both sides.
This was my first book by Briar Prescott but I'll be going straight to look at any others!

3.5 stars. Performance of one of the narrators spoilt my enjoyment- a weird voice that sort of vibrates all the time

I was looking for novels performed by Joel Leslie (my fav!) when I saw this novel by a new to me author. So happy I gave this one a listen! I've read friends to lovers novels before but this one was well written, emotional (but low-ish angst) and so sweet I actually shed a few tears in places. Joel Leslie and Kirt Graves both gave emotional performances, bringing the characters and all their emotions to life. I'll definitely be getting the next in this series and am already working my way through anything these two performers have narrated!
