John Milton
The quartercentenary of John Milton (1608-1674) is celebrated next year. This selection of his finest poetry includes sections from "Paradise Lost", "Samson Agonistes", the masque "Comus", as well as sonnets and other poems. They are read by two of Britain's leading classical actors.

clear, cloying, inappropriate,If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Great Poets: John Milton?
The extracts from the longer poems which are available complete in other Naxos audiobooksAny additional comments?
A full list of contents was not available prior to purchase. Some of the shorter poems such as the Christmas Ode have been abridged. The short extracts from the longer works are pointless. I was expecting the full versions of the Christmas Ode and Comus at least.Edited versions
