Instead of being ghastly and skeletal as a bloodcurlingly fearsome ghost, he's pink and fluffy, like a summer cloud. He longs to be like his brother, who's a Screaming Skull. Or his father, who has stumps for legs and a sword through his chest. Or even his cousins who are vampire bats. Poor Humphrey, though, can't scare anyone. But when the ghosts are in danger, it's clever Humphrey who comes up with a rescue plan...©1975 Eva Ibbotson (P)2008 BBC Audiobooks Ltd Büyümek Growing Up & Facts of Life Humorous Fiction Kurgu Literature & Fiction Scary Stories Science Fiction & Fantasy Çok Kuşaklı Aile Korkutucu Lanetli Fantastik Komedi Hayalet

I loved this book when I was younger and listening to it again is just as great as the first time. Eva Ibbotson Creates such gruesome but loveable characters! Prunella Scales has a wonderful voice and brings the characters to life. Brilliant for listening while doing other boring things like tidying up!

Just as good as reading the book

Imaginative, funny and cozy ghost story. Great narrator, too. I read a few books by Eva Ibbotson and I love all of them. Great bedtime stories, as you can be sure they all end well.

Lovely story!

We had one of those hideous M25 journeys - 2hrs turned into 5 and a half hours - bumper to bumper in driving rain.

My two boys (aged 5 and 7) listened to this story straight through, with delighted giggles at the yucky bits. Thank god we had it!! Other wise the journey would've been 100 times more horrible.

Great ghostly yucky fun

This story was an absolute delight! The perfect mixture of haunted and heartwarming. It is beautifully read by Prunella Scales with a very comforting voice. I could practically recommend it just for her performance. The story is very sweet and particularly good for children or nostalgic adults. The message is very touching, especially when you know a little bit about the authors life. This is the perfect book to get into the Halloween spirit!

A spooky treat!
