A shape-shifting cat, the sinister Crow Man, and the legendary Excalibur:

The Golden Sword is the first in a series of a pause-resisting action-packed magical adventures perfect for middle-grade children, and boys and girls from 9 to 14.

It’s the beginning of the summer holidays when Arthur and his friends, Nick and Tamar, find themselves sucked into a new world packed with fantasy and danger.

Who is the terrifying Crow Man? What does he want? Why is there an invisible spy? And how can a book turn its own pages?

As Arthur’s destiny beckons, the trio discover the reality of time travel, ruthless rivals, and unlikely allies.

Myth and legend, fantasy and adventure have never seemed so real or so dangerous.

King Arthur and Excalibur are waiting.

The Golden Sword is a present-day King Arthur book. A children's Arthurian book with a twist. A mystery story from beginning to end.

"This novel has the type of cross age-appeal as say, Harry Potter or Percy Jackson. Kids will love it, but so will the adults!" (Indie Book Reviews)

Right from the start the book draws you in to a world that has so many connections with the reality of here and now, while at the same time layering in situations that makes the reader wonder if it is reality or fantacy that is set out before them. A truely absorbing read.

I enjoyed every minute listening to this book. Right from the first sentence, I was drawn in and eager to find out what was going to happen next. Ancient myths and legends woven into an engaging modern day adventure. Fast paced, exciting but not frightening.
Beautifully written and narrated. An absolute delight.

This was one of the best audiobooks I have ever heard!
The narrator has the most perfect voice for audio books- better than Stephan Fry reading Harry Potter!
The story was excellent! I’ll be listening to it again, very soon!

I loved this audio book. It is such a gripping and enjoyable story full of adventure which I think would appeal to all ages.

This was my first time listening to this narrator, he did a great job, he was cast perfectly for the book and really brought the characters to life including some great Cornish accents, which kept me captivated the whole time. It flowed really well, and made the perfect accompaniment to a lazy afternoon!

Lovely audio book
