Sometimes the road away from home leads you right where you belong.
Justin Edwards has landed his dream job in New York, but the excitement quickly gives way to homesickness. When his enigmatic co-worker Trevor invites him on a spontaneous trip to the Catskills—a peaceful mountain retreat just a few hours from the city—Justin hopes for a quiet escape. What he finds instead is something far deeper.
As the stillness of the forest begins to reflect their own emotional thaw, late-night talks and firelit moments gently blur the line between friendship and something more.
The Getaway is a tender, slow-burn romance about chosen solitude, emotional courage, and love that arrives when we're finally still enough to feel it.
