I listened to this because I'd loved Part of your world by the same author. About half way, I was a little bit bored and was finding it all a bit predictable until, finally, something more dramatic happens with one of the characters. I saw it coming, but I still cried. It gave the story some 3 dimensionality and saved it. So, overall, I'd say it was a good book.

Please heed the trigger warnings. A beautifully told story. The narrators were spectacular.

I've read quite a few books from the author, and she is quickly becoming a firm favourite.

More on the heavy side and less romantic comedy than other books by Abby Jimenez but still funny in places and a lot story and good pacing

Good themes and no middle of the book lull

I loved this story, the characters, and everything about it. But the female narrator drags out the ending of almost every single phrase, and it’s so frustrating. (Think Joey from FRIENDS-“I can make anything sexy ‘Grandma’s chicken salaaaaaaaad”) it’s too much, and if it wasn’t for the dual POV and the male narrator I wouldn’t have been able to finish it.

Great story but the female narrator was hard to listen to.

This was my first book from this author and I'll definitely be checking out other books. Really enjoyed this story. Felt like it had a perfect blend of humour, romance and heartache, and the last half in particular had me hooked to binge the rest of it. Great characters and fantastic narrators, with some excellent dog merch jokes sprinkled throughout.
