This is a story from the The Innocence of Father Brown collection.
Father Brown is an eccentric priest with his own particular ways of dealing with crime. David Timson, having completed the whole of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes canon, a remarkable achievement, turns his hand to the genial but certainly not innocent priest! This collection contains a group of stories from the Innocence of Father Brown, told unabridged.

"The Flying Stars" is one of a full 51 short stories written by G.K. Chesterton about a fictional Roman Catholic priest named Father Brown, a Mass-by-day, mystery-by-night amateur detective characterized by his keen insights into human nature - informed by his experience in the Church - and intuitive methods of crime-solving. Brown’s engrossing methods of investigation stand in stark relief to those of his famous - or perhaps infamous - fictional peer, Sherlock Holmes, who favored methodical deduction, and the two literary contemporaries are made all the more enjoyable when considered in tandem.
David Timson brings his characteristic theatrical verve to this performance, his rich, limber voice easily adapting to each character herein and bringing them all equally to life.
