The world built in the synopsis has a lot of merit but the writing is painful to get through. The performance is great but it's great inspite of the words being read. Had been hoping for something to grab me but after 6 hours I still don't care about Leo or his progress with the system.

This review is based on this book and the following one as the world itself made me hope the personality would change, but I couldn't get through the last 3.5 hours of the second book.

Narration:
Excellent job, enjoyed the delivery.

Story:
I enjoyed the idea of this world, but found myself time and time again getting pulled out of the story by the behavior of the MC.
Power fantasies just don't work well for me when the protagonist is an angsty person with abandonment issues.
