In the wake of a dying man’s apparent suicide, the skeleton of a young woman is discovered on a windswept hillside. Detective Hjalti Hentze suspects that it is the body of a Norwegian woman reported missing 40 years earlier, while a commune occupied the land, and whose death may be linked to the abduction and rape of a local Faroese girl.

The Reyna part in particular is so interwoven with the rest of all three books, that it's obvious that the trilogy storyline was made up by Chris Ould from the beginning. Not that I minded. This is a very good read with that "unputdownable" feel to it. As in Blood Strand and Killing Bay the subtle psychology in the conversations and thoughts are most convincing.
Good narration by Matt Addis.
A worthy (and dark) conclusion to a great trilogy.
