Rejected by all, he must learn to master the darkness within if he is to stop Mal’goroth from destroying humanity. Alone, he battles to control the malevolent magic that has consumed him as he searches for some way to turn his destructive new powers against the Dark Gods themselves. I was left wishing there were further tales following on from this story arc. the characters have a depth and realism often missing in fantasy

gripping saga with a good flow

A wonderful end to a really great series of books with strong characters that I will miss.

Difficult to get into, but then couldn’t put it down

Kept me engaged throughout, world building was good. Couple of loose ends I would have liked tied up at the end, but sometimes it’s nice to leave a little mystery for potential books in parallel to this. Overall fantastic read

Great series

Man what a series that was and I must say I had no idea the last book would have been as dark as it was. It was exceptionally miserable for most of it, which made it a bit hard to get through for me.

Normally I don't mind things being grim and dark but the series started off so lighthearted that I was a bit shocked by the ending of Book 4.

As far as endings to a series go The Final Redemption was great and I'm looking forwards to Embers of Illeniel and Champions series, knowing full well just how Grimdark Embers will be.

Overall Mageborn was a fantastic journey and one of the few series I've started and actually finished on audible.

Took me a while to get through but I'm glad for it
